Competing in the COVKARTSPORT Championships will cost you no more than approx £420.00 for the whole season. The cost is spread out over the full season which starts in March and ends in November, which means no high costs to pay out all at once. You pay as you go. Remember we provide everything you will need to race, the karts, suits, helmets, gloves, etc. All you need to do is simply turn up to each event and drive.

  2009 FEES:  
NEW MEMBER = £45.00. per year membership fee - with any additional racing members of the same family included in this single fee. THIS ALSO ENTITLES YOU TO COMPETE IN THE 2009 WINTER SERIES IF PAID FEE BY FIRST ROUND OF THE SERIES (end of January).
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL WHICH INCLUDES THE WINTER SERIES= £40.00. also to include all additional racing members of the same family.
ANY DRIVER ATTEMPTING TO RENEW AFTER JANUARY 31st 2009 WILL NEED TO PAY A FULL NEW MEMBER FEE OF £45.00!
Winter series only fee (if not competing in the main championship) = £10.00 per family or individual 
SPECTATOR ENTRANCE FEES = NO CHARGE!
- all spectators are most welcome - enjoy the friendly family atmosphere!
RACE-DAY ENTRY FEES FOR ALL DRIVER ARE NOW FIXED AT £TBC (approx £45) PER EVENT FOR THE MAIN COVKARTSPORT CHAMPIONSHIP AND £TBC (approx 35) PER EVENT FOR OUR MINI WINTER SERIES. THESE RACE-DAY FEES ARE PAYABLE UPON ARRIVAL AT THE CIRCUITS - NOT IN ADVANCE!

GUEST DRIVERS WILL BE ALLOWED AND ARE MOST WELCOME!
- subject to a driving slot being available
- at an additional fee of £10.00. each per main Championship event and £5 each in the mini winter series.

GUESTS AT OUR "WELSH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP" MEETING HAVE TO PAY A TOTAL RACE-DAY FEE OF £60.

THERE WILL BE SEVEN ROUNDS OF THE COVKARTSPORT 2009 CHAMPIONSHIP AND IT IS HOPED THAT DRIVERS WILL TRY TO TAKE PART IN ALL SEVEN. - However, as drivers (completing all seven rounds) will be allowed to drop their TBC lowest scoring races (tot 21 races over a full season) any driver missing one of the seven rounds will not be unduly disadvantaged. ATTENDANCE POINTS WILL NOT BE DROPPED (1 per race = 3 PER EVENT)

IMPORTANT: PENALTY SYSTEM FOR NON-ATTENDANCE:
Any driver, who cannot attend at one of the seven rounds, must send an E-mail notification to us in the the 7 days prior to the event they are not going to take part in although no points will be deducted if extenuating circumstances apply. (Do not tell us if you are going to attend)
Failure to notify us of your non-attendance could result in the deduction of 3 Championship points from your total and, IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES, MAY RESULT IN THE LEVY OF A FINE UNDER OUR RULES.

COVKARTSPORT is run for the     enjoyment of all its members and the enthusiasm we all have for motor racing, the owners of the circuits we use give us a good deal, so we need to give them our commitment and support by driving in all 7 Rounds.

Top Novice Awards and Novice Runner-up Awards are also given in all 6 of the above classes at the end of the season!

* Some Weight Limits may vary slightly from season to season as they are set by weighing all drivers (in a particular class) then splitting them into two equal halves. This is the fairest method possible! 

** Juniors must be tall enough to safely operate all controls when flip-over pedals and seat-inserts are used. They may join at 11 years provided they are a minimum 12 years old in their first year of racing.
