Driving beyond the limits of their current skills and causing accidents which may or may not involve other karts. D. Weaving - so as to deliberately baulk another driver. E. Spinning (on track) and not applying the brake - so that their kart was rolling backwards into the path of another kart.
NONE OF THESE ACTIONS ARE ACCEPTABLE
NEW PENALTY SYSTEM: | |
| From Round 1 Winter series (2007) a team of three additional observers (per race) will now be utilised to watch for on-track incidents. At the same event: Two Black/White warning boards will result in a "Warning as to future Conduct" Three Black/White warning boards will result in the deduction of 1 Championship point. Four Black/White warning boards will result in instant disqualification from the event and loss of points - including attendance points. Drivers may still be pulled in, during a race, for a stop/go penalty but this will not reduce the penalties described here. | |
| A "WARNING AS TO FUTURE CONDUCT" WILL MEAN THAT YOU CARRY ONE WARNING BOARD OVER INTO THE NEXT EVENT! | |
| Bad Driving causing an accident with other drivers will result in either disqualification from that race or relegation to last place. | |
The disciplinary committee of COVKARTSPORT will also act upon advice of the team observers and hand out penalty measures appropriate to the gravity of the incident even if warning boards have not been shown to that particular driver as track marshals may not have witnessed the incident. Actions can only be taken when an incident is witnessed by either the Track Marshals, the or a number of spectators - at least one of which cannot be associated with any "victim" in the incident. |
