DO OUR MEMBERS ENJOY THEMSELVES ?

Here are some spontaneous thanks posted by ordinary Covkartsport members after Round 5/2009 which was held at the Glan-y-gors Park Circuit in North Wales.

We have copy & pasted these comments both from emails and from the "Forum" section of this website :

Brian Steele, father of Chris Steele (Junior Plus Class): Stuart, Nick, Firstly may I say thank you to all the Covkartsport team for an excellent day on Sunday. The whole event was a great weekend out. Please pass my thanks on to the sometimes forgotten heroes of the day, Donna, Babs, Mike & Pete. (as well as yourselves) - Roll on Round 6   .........Best regards, Brian & Chris Steele.

Les Latham (Senior Heavyweight Plus Class): Just like to say a big thankyou to all the GYG people, and to all the Covkartsport officials, and other officials for a brilliantly organised day. Big congrats to Derek and Connor! Thankyou all, Les.

Chris Angus (Senior Lightweight Novice Class): Hi everyone. I'd just like to thank the organisers for another great day. I'm really enjoying my 1st season with Covkartsport and have been looking to improve all year. I got my 1st win in my last race after getting 4th place and 5th place in my other two races. This gave me 1st place lightweight novice award. I also received the "Driver-of-the-Day" award to my surprise and I'd like to thank Nick and the team for selecting me as there were so many other drivers who I thought would be in contention before me. Congratulations to everyone who received a trophy on the day - especially to Derek and Connor. Well Done! See you all at Rye House and thanks again for another great day.

Desmond Butcher - father of Josh Butcher (Junior Class): Dear Nick, Just a quick note to express thanks for organising the weekend event at Glan-y-gors, both Josh and I enjoyed it. I thought the track staff did a particularly good job with some sensible marshalling. I look forward to Rye House.

Martin Stone (Senior Heavyweight Plus Class): Thanks to all the organisers, friends, etc that made the event pass smoothly, you do a great job. My own progress came to an early end in Race 24, and sad to say, my rear facing camera had packed up before the punt - but hey, that's what happens in real life! Another good day at Glan-Y-Gors Park !!!

The Carter Family (Ash Carter races in Senior Lightweight Class): Hello Nick, Arrived home on Monday after the nice short break in Wales, we all had a terrific time, thanks for the great organising!

David Whitehouse (Senior Lightweight Plus Class): Thanks to everyone for creating a great day. I was delighted with my 3rd,4th,4th and 2nd overall in lightweight plus. First time this year in the top 3 in a race. I'm blaming the extra weight of the cake for finishing 4th in the other two races :P Bring on Rye House. I cannot wait for the larger grids. Should be brilliant!smile Thanks again to everyone who made it possible and big congrates to Derek and Connor.

William and Michael Anthony (brothers taking part in our Junior Class): Nick, a very BIG Thankyou for all of the help that you have given the both of us in our first season; yourself and the team have done an absolutely terrific job in organizing such a great championship. The last round was very good (and the cake was really nice too) and we both felt big improvements in driving; especially compared to the beginning of the season when we had barely any experience.

Stu Stretton (Guest Driver):  It is a shame I can't race with Covkartsport in the near future, but I have enjoyed what I have done with the club, and I am very greatful for all the opportunities and support. Just like to say thanks for a good weekend once again. Stu.

(Stu Stretton returned to race at R5/2009 as a guest driver but he is an ex-Covkartsport member who has now moved up into owner-driver competition).

Peter Mason (Senior Heavyweight Class): Hi there, Thanks for another great days racing at Glan-Y-Gors Park. My brother Paul has expressed an interest in a guest drive at Rye House. Is there an official guest driver list he could be added to? Regards, Peter.
