COVKARTSPORT . . .

The Established Low-Cost Steppingstone Into Motorsport Founded In 1996

President's Charity Fund

Covkartsport will pay, without any price increase to our members, £1.00 for every driver who comes to a Covkartsport event. This will be accumulated throughout the year and then distributed evenly to our 3 named charities.

These will be:

Warwick Myton Hamlet Hospice - New Coventry Hospice Appeal Fund.
Warwickshire & Northamptionshire Air Ambulance.

Coventry University Hospital Cancer Ward Appeal.

The fund total for 2006 =£402.00

These 3 charities will remain unchanged for 2007. They are our chosen charities and, unfortunately, we will not dilute our donations by taking any further charities on board. We are pleased to be able to help them and consider them to be extremely worthwhile!

Cheques from our 2006 total fund were donated ( for £134.00 each) in February 2007. Our donations from the 2007 season will be made in December 2007 or January 2008. It looks as if our attendances will increase in 2007 so our donations will be accordingly higher!

**After the final round of our 2007 Championship our 2007 Charity fund total is £417** so we will now be donating further cheques of £139 each to the three charities in early 2008.

Covkartsport Co-Vice President Peter Realf (on right) presents Dhushi Kumar, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Chief Medical Officer, with the first of Covkartsport's Charity donations at Coventry Airport on Wednesday 14th February 2007. Interestingly WNAA have a strong affinity with motorsport as they cover the racing circuits at both Silverstone and Rockingham and have frequently come to the aid of racing drivers!

Claire McDowell, of Myton Hamlet Hospice, accepts our cheque from Stuart Lindsay, Co-Vice President of Covkartsport at the Myton Head Office, Warwick on Friday 23rd February 2007. This cheque will contribute to the fund for the totally new Myton residential hospice at Coventry University Hospital. The new hospice is to be built on the site of the old hospital main building in fully landscaped grounds and will exist as a welcome addition to the Myton Hospice Daycare Centre at St.Cross Hospital, Rugby and the Myton Daycare & Residential Centres at Warwick.

Liz Heald, Cancer Charity Appeal Manager at Coventry University Hospital, accepts Covkartsport's cheque from club President Nick Stanley on Tuesday 28th February 2007 (Sheelagh Chambers on left) at the new Arden Centre which is in the new hospital building at Walsgrave, Coventry.

We have received the following thankyou letters from the above charities - so it is really good to know that, every time you attend COVKARTSPORT, you are automatically enabling us to contribute more to these deserving and very useful charities!
